New Chattanooga to Washington flight begins today

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The new flight from Chattanooga to Washington begins on Thursday.

The United Airlines route is a nonstop to Washington’s Dulles International Airport.

This gives Chattanooga two flights to the capital and opens up more international connections.

Dulles Airport

Depart IAD 8:15 a.m.  | Arrive CHA 10:09 a.m.

Depart IAD 5:10 p.m. | Arrive CHA 7:04 p.m.

Chattanooga Airport

Depart CHA 2:42 p.m. | Arrive IAD 4:25 p.m.

Depart CHA 7:35 p.m. | Arrive IAD 9:18 p.m.

“Growth at the Chattanooga Airport continues to increase monthly as well as over previous years thanks to the expanded nonstop routes and travelers choosing to fly from Chattanooga,” said Terry Hart, president of the Chattanooga Airport. “With the addition of nonstop service to Dulles Airport, we are providing connection to countless international destinations and opening up our region to even more commerce.”

The jet will be a 50-seater aircraft Embraer RJ 50.

“United is offering our customers in the Chattanooga area more choice in their travels,” said Omar Idris, Managing Director of the United Airlines Washington Dulles hub. “A short flight from Chattanooga to our Washington Dulles hub will not only provide direct access to the nation’s capital but connect to more than 70 domestic and nearly 40 international destinations in Asia, Europe and Latin America.”
