Chattanooga’s Speech and Hearing Center offering free assessments

Appointments can be made for free with pathologists, audiologist

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) — Chattanooga’s Speech and Hearing Center is hosting Free Screening Day this Friday.

They’re encouraging locals in need to sign up for a complimentary screening.

Residents can reserve a spot for a free 30-minute speech screening and/or a 15-minute hearing appointment.

Assessments will then be conducted by the Center’s speech-language pathologists, and audiologist to determine if there is a speech disorder or undiagnosed hearing loss at hand.

“The whole point is to spread awareness about communication disorders and to encourage those who think they may have a speech or hearing-related issue to come and seek treatment,” said Taylor Bostwick, the Center’s President and CEO.

Bostwick says this is just one way the Center is celebrating Better Hearing and Speech Month.
