Guava and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast

 

Serves 4

 2 oz Butter 

1 oz Vegetable Oil

1 Loaf of Texas Toast

4 Large Eggs 

1/2 cup Heavy Cream

4 tbsp Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 tsp Salt

4 oz Guava Jelly

8 oz Whipped Cream Cheese

4 oz Condensed Milk

6 oz Maple Syrup

3 oz Fruity Pebbles 

Garnish with Whipped Cream

 Directions

Preheat Griddle to 300F

Take 8 slices of Texas Toast; slice a pocket in the side about half way.  Fill with Cream Cheese and Guava Jelly Mixture.

 In a mixing bowl beat eggs, cream, sugar, salt and vanilla.

Dip stuffed toast in egg mixture covering both sides about 2 seconds per side.

 Melt butter and oil on griddle to coat

 In a separate bowl mix condensed milk and syrup

 Place French Toast on griddle and cook for 3 mins on each side until crispy and golden brown

 Remove french toast, cut in half in triangles

 Place on serving platter, drizzle with maple syrup condensed milk mixture.

 Garnish with Fruity Pebbles and Whipped Cream

 *Guava jelly can be substituted for any flavor jelly or jam.  You can purchase guava jelly at any supermarket in the “Ethnic Foods” aisle.

 Serve with fresh seasonal fruit for a great breakfast treat!
