Cherokee officials looking for the person who stole deputy’s badge, weapon
CHEROKEE COUNTY, North Carolina (WDEF) – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a stolen car that had a deputy’s badge and gun inside.
The department posted to Facebook saying it was stolen early Sunday morning along with the officer’s weapon and sheriff’s office badge.
If anyone spots the vehicle, officials say call 828-835-3144 or 911.
You are encouraged to not approach the vehicle because the suspect may be armed.
