CHI Memorial Awards $60,000 in Grants to Local Nonprofits Focused on Health and Well-being

CHI Memorial recently awarded $60,000 in grant money to three local nonprofits working to improve health and well-being in the Chattanooga area. The recipients—Medical Foundation of Chattanooga, The Lighthouse Collective, and La Paz—are each addressing different aspects of community health.

Chris Sands, a grant recipient from the 20-26 Community Health Grant, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity: “We are grateful to CHI Memorial for considering us for this great opportunity. Our goal is to impact the lives of as many people as possible, particularly in the 37412 ZIP code. We’ve already connected with some great partners in the area, and we’re excited to help people understand the importance of physical health as it relates to both the mind and the body.”

The 2026 Community Health Grant application process will open this summer, providing additional opportunities for local organizations to continue supporting the health and well-being of the community.
