CHI Memorial holds Topping out ceremony in Catoosa County
CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF)- CHI Memorial has made significant progress for their new state of the art Hospital in Catoosa County.
“This is a significant milestone for our new hospital that we are building here in Catoosa County to serve Catoosa Walker and Dade County. This is a topping out ceremony, which signifies the last theme that’s going to be raised for the new hospital,” said Angie Stiggins, CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia Administrator.
Plans for the new hospital have been in the works since 2022.
Stiggins believes this new hospital will provide healthcare for local counties.
“We have heard loud and clear from our community that they want care closer to home, and that this hospital will bring easy access to excellent health care for the entire community,” said Stiggins.
According to CHI Memorial, the new hospital will include an ICU, 64 inpatient beds, five operating rooms, a full-service emergency room and more.
Stiggins says this Hospital is about meeting the needs of patients.
“This is the shining example of promises made and promises kept for the community. Memorial has been investing in this community for over 35 years, and we promised a hospital to the community, and we are delivering that exactly,” stated Stiggins.
CHI Memorial’s new hospital will remain connected to the current parkway building for its in and outpatient services.
Amy Jackson, CEO of the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce is hopeful to see this hospital grow Catoosa County economically.
