Chickamauga Police: Person died from medical emergency, not gunshot

CHICKAMAUGA, Ga. (WDEF) — The police department received reports of a shooting in Chickamauga, Georgia on Thursday.

Officers responded to the scene near The Grind Coffee Shop, which is at Crittenden Avenue and Lee and Gordon Mill Road.

Once they arrived, officers found a deceased person.

However, evidence suggested the person died from a medical emergency and not a gunshot wound, according to police.

They did not give any further information on the incident.
