Child found unresponsive in Bradley County pool

Neighbor calls police, but had no idea how long the child had been in the water

CHARLESTON, TN (WDEF) – In Bradley County Sunday afternoon, the county fire and rescue and emergency medical services workers were dispatched to an address on Burnt Ridge Drive in Charleston after a call about an unresponsive child in a pool.

According to the public information officer, a neighbor called and said the child was in their pool, but had no idea how long the child had been in the water.

Paramedics began life-saving efforts on the child before transporting him to Tennova Hospital.

That child is in critical condition.
