Whit’s Frozen Custard holds fundraiser for family battling childhood brain cancer
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF)- Each sweet treat sold at a Cleveland frozen custard shop was more meaningful on Monday.
Over 20 percent of sales on Monday at Whit’s Frozen Custard are going to the Hawk family.
Liam Hawk, the younger brother of a Whit’s employee, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.
His mother Alison says they’ve had to make frequent trips to Vanderbilt Medical Center in order to treat his condition, including overnight stays and specialist visits.
The family says seeing the community come out for them is special as they look to fight childhood brain cancer.
Liam Hawk said, “I think it’s a very good representation of what God can do and just how much community we have in Cleveland and all the other counties around here. I love how much family and friends we have here to support us.”
We have a link if you want to support the Hawk family and Liam through his battle here.
