Chip’s Good Word: Woman thanks unnamed good Samaritan who returned her bag

She lost it with all her valuables at the Lighted Boat Parade

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – We’ve got a great story about a local woman who needs some help to thank an anonymous Good Samaritan.

Megan Sandilands and her daughter went to the lighted boat parade on Friday night.

But while she was enjoying the festive lights, she somehow lost her sling bag.

It held her wallet, spare key to both the house and car, cash and a whole lot more.

She tells us she had a hard time sleeping thinking that at any moment someone could steal her car or enter her home.

So she took action.

3 Megans Story“I prayed and prayed that the Lord allowed my bag to find kind hands (after returning downtown looking twice and filing a police report).”

When she got home from work Tuesday night, she got an answer to prayer.

The bag was sitting on a chair on her porch, but the chair had been moved.

Everything was still in it… but no note from whoever found it.

Megan says she’s going public to thank whoever the kind hands belong to.

“Even in such trying times… someone has gone out their way to help this nobody out when they could have just kept it all.. it just amazes me.”

Megan, thanks for sharing your great story with us.
