Church Gives back by Feeding Local Community

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- A need in the community for healthier food options leads one local ministry to help.

Earlier today the Eastdale Village Community United Methodist Church passed out food for those who might not otherwise have it.

Some parts of Chattanooga are known as “Food Deserts.”

This means that fresh produce isn’t easily available, but this ministry is making it simple.

These are the hotspots that our people are hurting at.And these are those persons that have been invisible and so we want to let them know that we see you and we want to be here for you.

The church partners with the Eastdale Neighborhood Association to make events like today’s possible.
