City of Cleveland receives 19th consecutive budget award

Cleveland, Tenn. (WDEF) – The City of Cleveland was presented with an award at the first session of City Council for the year.

For the 19th consecutive year, the City received the annual Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association.

The award is for the budget year that began July 1, 2016.

In a letter to the assistant city manager Shawn McKay from Government Finance Officers Association, the award is noted as “the highest form of recognition in government budgeting”.
