LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF) — The City of Lafayette saw some intense storm damage in several areas on Wednesday.

The storms resulted in a power outage in the northern part of the city.

The city said in a social media post that crews were on-site working to restore power at around 1 p.m.

Then at 3:20 p.m., they said crews would shut off the north circuit once again for about 15 minutes to make more repairs.

Power lines were damaged near the Highway 27 Bypass, north of N. Main Street. City officials said multiple trees and power lines were down in this area.

Ramage Road, McCarter Road and Skyline Heights all had outages, according to the city.

There were also phone outages and internet outages at the utility building.
