Cleveland Connector named after former City Manager
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — Former Cleveland City Manager Janice Casteel served 42-years with the city.
The connector starts at North Ocoee east neighborhoods and runs to Tinsley Park.
Council members, city staffers and family members attended the event.
Casteel tells us her and her husband love running and will be on the trail often.
“It is for next generation, there’s nothing like walking on our greenway. I appreciate the leaders of Cleveland investing in greenways for us as families. It just improves the livability of community,” she says.
Cleveland’s Park and Recreation department received $500,000 matching grant from Tennessee Department of Transportation to help fund the connector.
