Cleveland Man Searches for the Truth After his Sister Dies in Car Crash
Rogers was killed in a car accident in late December, when her 1999 Nissan struck another vehicle head-on. Rogers died on scene, the other driver suffered minor injuries.
Now, Rogers’ brother, Steve Levi says he wants answers, "They said it was a head-on collision, but when I’d seen the car it looked like the car had been hit on the side." Levi said at first he didn’t have any suspicions about his sister’s death, until after he saw the car she was driving in.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the day of the accident, Rogers drover over a hill on Bates Bike, in Cleveland, driving at a high speed. They said she then lost control of her car, and went into the westbound lanes of traffic, where she hit the other car.
THP also reports there were only two vehicles involved in the crash that day, which Levi says simply can’t be true, "You can’t say that there was only two cars that were involved in this. They hit her so hard they broke her neck."
Levi believes there is much more to the story then officers are revealing to him, his family and the public, "I wanna know what happened to my sister. I think they-I think she deserves an investigation. We lost a life there."
The day she died, Rogers left behind four children, ranging in age 13 to three, and Levi said they deserve answers too.
News 12 also reached out to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department, who was also on scene at the time the accident took place. They deny any allegations against them, and are re-directing all questions to THP, who is currently handling the case.
