Cleveland Police identify body discovered behind church

UPDATE: Cleveland Police have identified the woman as 62-year-old Julie Ann Headrick.

The body was sent to Knoxville after being discovered this weekend.

Sgt. Evie West says the police department still has not received results from the autopsy, though they hope to receive that information soon.

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Cleveland Police do not suspect fowl play involved in a body found Sunday afternoon.

It was found by Candies Creek between Campbell Bridge Rd and the Westwood Church.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Evie West told us today the victim was an older woman.

She says it could be a natural death of a variety of things.

The body was taken to the Hamilton County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy scheduled for Monday.

That should give them a cause of death.
