Cocaine suspect gets more than 11 year sentence

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Federal Judge has sentenced Jerriod Sivels (AKA Jerriod Lee) to almost 12 years in prison on cocaine distribution charges.

He pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to distribute 5 kilograms or more.

The case is part of an investigation into a drug trafficking organization working in the Eastdale and Brainerd areas.

Prosecutors say Sivels was the leader.

The DEA worked with local police on the investigation.

Chattanooga Chief of Police David Roddy said, “The cooperative impact of our
investigators and our Federal Partners has resulted in a prosecution that dismantled an
organization, will keep Sivels from continuing to harm our community via drug trafficking, and has made our neighborhoods safer.”
