Coffee County Rescue Squad building, vehicles burn
COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — On Monday night, a rescue building caught on fire in Coffee County.
The Coffee County Rescue Squad‘s (CCRS) responded to a fire in their main building around 8 p.m. on December 4. The CCRS is a nonprofit rescue organization made up of volunteers.
The fire caused damage to a major part of the building and its contents as well.
Rescue vehicles and supplies were damaged.
The team also lost some toys and canned food they had collected for those in need this holiday season.
They ask the public to keep them in their prayers.
“This tragedy will not dull the hearts of our volunteers. We know how to work together, pray together and overcome together. We definitely know how to make the most out of a little. CCRS is blessed and we will rise from the smoke and ashes,” the rescue squad said in a social media post.
CCRS did not state what caused the fire.
