Collegedale Rite Aid robbery suspect sought

Collegedale, TN (WDEF) – Collegedale Police hope you’ll be able to identify this armed robbery suspect who threatened to blow a bomb.

Witnesses told police he came in to the Rite Aid on Apison Pike Monday afternoon.

At first, he asked about back braces, but came back with folder with a ransom note.

The note told employees to give him high levels of controlled substances or he would blow the blow inside his bag.

Officials say the suspect was described as a 5’10 white man with a stocky build with hazel eyes and a short black beard.

He had a black ski cap and a black bag.

He got away with $3500 of Oxycontin and Oxycodone along with $165 in cash.

Detectives tell the public to note the suspect’s unique walk in the surveillance video and when he smiles towards the camera.
