Community walks to raise awareness for Epilepsy in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The community came together this weekend to walk for a cause that impacts one in every 26 Americans.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee hosted its annual Chattanooga Walk for Epilepsy at Tennessee Riverpark.
Funds raised help provide programs such as art therapy, prescription assistance, and transportation for families in need.
Guest speaker Christy Howard said participants walked to honor loved ones and to support those living with epilepsy.
“We need somebody, and we need to be vulnerable and to ask at least one person in our life to please live their life along with us.”
