“Con-Nooga” returns to the Chattanooga Convention Center

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – 16 years in the making and “Con-Nooga” is selling out the Chattanooga convention center where a nerd’s dream comes to life featuring impressive costumes and challenges.

“From Sci-fi to Anime to fantasy, there isn’t more you could ask for when coming here, especially if you’re a comic nerd,” said Con-Chairman of Con-Nooga, Todd Patton.

With over 200 vendors with each one being significantly different, it gives everyone a chance to learn more about other experts’ passions and knowledge for specific comics.

“Seeing all of the smiling faces brings joy to my heart, especially when you share the same interest as those you’ve never met,” said Patton.

After initially starting at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, Con-Nooga has grown to a venue like the Chattanooga Convention Center, but Todd believes it won’t be long before they move on to a bigger venue.

“We want to outgrow this place but right now we haven’t totally outgrown it. We would like to get more people visiting Chattanooga because this is home for us and we want to make it home for everybody,” said Patton.

Con-Nooga will be available to the public until February 25th evening, so if you’re a comic nerd and are looking for a place to learn more, Con-Nooga is the place to be.
