Concrete pouring underway for Sculpture Feilds Chattanooga Terror Attack victims’ tribute

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)  –     The sculpture to honor the five men lost in the Chattanooga terror attack officially got underway Tuesday.
The monumental tribute located in the Sculpture Fields will be created by internationally-known sculptor Peter Lundberg.
The first step involved placing steel in the earth and then forming a concrete cast over it.
Crews started pouring the cement Tuesday to get ready for the September first reveal.
Cathy Clifford serves as the Sculpture Fields Executive Director.  She said, "We want the public to be here for the tribute on September first, it will happen at 9:00am.  They’ll get to witness this piece being pulled out of the ground for the first time we’ll all see it together and it will reach sixty feet in height.  It’s going to be a very exciting day."
You can check out its progress on Polk Street on Chattanooga’s South Side.
