Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The season to do the most good is officially underway.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program kick off happened Friday morning.
Congressman Chuck Fleischmann and his wife will serve as this year’s Honorary Christmas Chairs.
That means they’ll make the first red kettle donations.
Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tennessee) said, "I am so excited.  As we know there are so many in our community who have need.  And the Salvation Army delivers all year round to those in need.  So it’s an honor to be the honorary chairman this year, so glad to help and I hope everybody fills up the kettles."
The Congressman, News12 and other partners will make the first red kettle donations tomorrow afternoon at Hamilton Place Mall.
