CPD identify man hit by car on Highway 58
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police identified a person who was struck by a vehicle on Highway 58 Saturday night.
On July 8, the Chattanooga Police Department said they found a person suffering from life-threatening injuries on the 5900 block of Highway 58.
Now, CPD said the person who was hit is 27-year-old Lyndell Dunnigan.
Dunnigan was crossing Highway 58 when a car hit him in the northbound lanes. At the time, the area was poorly lit. It happened around 9:40 p.m.
First responders took him to a local hospital for treatment, but police expect Dunnigan to survive his injuries.
Officers shut down both lanes of traffic at the time of the accident.
They say no one is facing any charges.
