CPD investigating fights, robbery in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Early Saturday morning, there were several fights in downtown Chattanooga. Chattanooga Police said there were fights in the adjacent parking lots of 1450 Rossville Avenue. One of which resulted in a robbery.

The fights happened around 2 a.m. Police said they were clearing lots of disorderly crowds when they found a man suffering from serious injuries. Emergency personnel then took him to a hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, police were alerted that this victim, a 27-year-old man, was robbed of his wallet and phone.

The Chattanooga Police Department said they are investigating this incident.

The CPD also said there will be charges.
