CPD respond to Friday evening downtown shooting
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Police responded to an incident near the intersection of Market Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Friday evening.

Chattanooga Police are asking for help in identifying a potential suspect in the Market Street shooting on Friday night.
They have attached the following photos to the potential suspect.

CPD UPDATE:
Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot call in the 900 block of Market Street at 5:39 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 48-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries.
CFD and HCEMS responded to the scene.
EMS transported the man to a local hospital.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was standing around the bus stop when the suspect walked up behind him and shot him.
The suspect walked away prior to police arrival.
Investigators are working to learn more details about this incident and to identify the suspect.

EARLIER:
Police for a time this evening roped off the sidewalk on Market Street around a bus stop next to EPB’s building.
CPD says a victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, but are investigating the incident.
News 12 did see someone be stretched off into an ambulance on one of our live weather cameras.
Hamilton County 911 logs indicated a shots fired call near the scene this evening, and a witness told News 12 that they heard shots.
The incident did not occur inside Miller Park.
