CPD urging community to ignore inaccurate viral post

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are reporting that there is nothing to fear about a viral social media post that is causing a stir in the community.

The post states that a 19-year-old girl was drugged at Hamilton Place Mall by two individuals so that she could be sold to two men outside the mall.

The Chattanooga Police released a statement on their Twitter page stating that the alarming post had been ruled false, and that no such incident had been reported to Police.
