CSAS Students Paint Mural To Help Kids Avoid Injuries

Kids get hurt and get in accidents all the time.
But some local teens are hoping to help change that fact.
Students from the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences have painted a mural across the street from the Emergency Room at Children’s Hospital.
The mural outlines ways young children can avoid injuries.
Eric Keller is an Art Teacher at CSAS.
"It’s covering the whole building and it is working with the themes of injury prevention and safety. And this is a partnership between CSAS and Erlanger Children’s Hospital."
Officials at Children’s Hospital say these teen artists are in a unique position to help younger children, who look up to them for guidance.
They say the teens will serve as role models for the younger children.
The teens themselves hope the mural inspires kids to be more careful.
