D.A. finds fatal shooting by Hamilton County Deputies justified

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Hamilton County District Attorney General Neal Pinkston sent a letter to Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond Thursday about his review of the fatal shooting of suspect Brent Pickard back in August.

Pinkston said he had interviewed the lead detective and reviewed dash camera video.

He considered the state law and the circumstances and found that the shooting by the Hamilton County Deputies was justified.
