Due to the extensive hot temperatures, mutual aid was requested for additional manpower. Soddy Daisy Fire Department responded to the scene.

According to Dallas Bay VFD Chief Markus Fritts, “the fire started on the outside of the home and spread quickly to the backyard and shed due to the dry terrain.”

The fire has caused significant damage to the home and is currently under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

There were no injuries and American Red Cross is assisting 1 adult and 1 child with their emergency needs.
