Dalton BP burglary arrest

Dalton, GA (WDEF) – Dalton Police say thanks to tips from the public they’ve made a burglary arrest.

38-year-old Jason Cory Brock faces charges for the burglary of the BP Station on West Walnut Avenue last week.

Police responded after the silent alarm went off.

They found the door unlocked.

The owner found that 122 lottery tickets were missing; valued at more than $1,000.

Police found that the suspect hid inside the store until it closed.

Then the suspect crawled behind the counter and spent an hour and a half scratching off tickets.

On Monday, the suspect’s surveillance picture was published, and several people recognized him.

Dalton investigators worked with Gordon County deputies to arrest Brock at a Calhoun motel where he was staying.

He’s now in the Whitfield County Jail facing one count of burglary.
