Dalton carpet store goes up in flames

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Whitfield County Fire Department spent much of its nights fighting a fire at a carpet store at 219 West Avenue in Dalton.

No cause for the blaze has been announced but a half dozen crews were called out.

Firefighters were able to get it under control early today, but part of the building had collapsed. No one was hurt .
