Dalton Plant Death

Dalton, GA (WDEF) Whitfield County deputies investigate a death at a Dalton plant Thursday night.

It happened at the Marketing Alliance Group’s plant on Cross Plains Boulevard.

Law enforcement officials say a piece of machinery fell on a 23-year-old man.

Michael Arnold with the company’s Human Resources Department says "An outside contractor, Spartan Industrial Contracting, was moving equipment and one of their employees was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of one of their employees."

He also added "the thoughts and prayers of the entire Marketing Alliance family is with them."

The company makes visual merchandising, product displays, and custom plastics.
