Dalton Police ask for tips on threat at Dalton High

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Dalton Police Department is investigating a threatening note found in a classroom at Dalton High Wednesday.

It was discovered at the end of the day on the floor of a classroom.

It mentions a threat against the school on Thursday.

Officers have been at the school this evening.

And will be their with the School Resource Officer on Thursday during school.

“We will have an increased presence at DHS and other city schools tomorrow above and beyond what we normally have,” said Assistant Chief Cliff Cason.

They will also increase patrols at other schools around the city to be safe.

“We will be working closely with the school to identify the individual that made the threat,” said DPD Assistant Chief Cliff Cason.
