Dalton Police catch suspect counterfeiting couple

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton Police have charged a couple wanted for counterfeiting across north Georgia.

The Pickens County Sheriff first noted that phony $50 and $100 bills were popping up in their area on Wednesday.

The fifties were printed on an actual five dollar bill.

Then on Thursday, they had a photo of a woman in a new Ford Mustang.

The trail ended at a Bojangles in Dalton.

That’s where Police say they caught Rachael Nicole Webb and DeAndre Jamahl Rice trying to pass more fake fifties.

Investigators believe they were traveling from town to town across Georgia.

Both suspects are from Cobb County.

Picket County authorities say they had already hit four other businesses within minutes of their arrest in Dalton.

So there could still be bad bills in our area.

Officials say if you hold them up to the light, you can see that they are five dollar bill copies.

And they have had the same serial number – JF08662079A.
