Dalton Starts the New Year With 51-26 Win Over Calhoun

Dalton, GA-(WDEF-TV) The Dalton high school basketball team returned to the hardwood for the first time in nearly two weeks on Thursday, but the layoff didn’t seem to bother the Catamounts as they beat Calhoun 51-26. Dalton’s Jager Dickson hit a little bank shot with less than ten seconds before halftime as the Catamounts went up 30-11 at the break. Calhoun made a run in the third quarter cutting the lead to single digits, but the Catamounts regrouped to get the lead to 38-21 going to the fourth. In the final quarter, Catamounts guard Jalen Westfield threw a pass off the backboard to Dickson for a dunk.
