David Carroll Jr. pleads not guilty to charges from son’s drowning

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – A suspect in a child’s death appeared in court this morning.

David Carroll Junior was arraigned in Bradley County on charges of child neglect and negligent homicide.

The case involves his two-year-old son who drowned last September in a neighbor’s pool in Charleston.

Carroll was just indicted in March.

He pleaded not guilty, and the judge appointed him a public defender.
