Our day on the set of MacGyver

ATLANTA, Georgia (WDEF) – Amy Katcher and the News 12 Now team have an early morning call in Atlanta on Tuesday.

We are there to watch the new CBS TV show, MacGyver, shoot some scenes.

The drama debuts in two weeks on Friday nights, paired with Hawaii Five-0.

MacGyver is a reboot of the popular series that aired from 1985-92 starring Richard Dean Anderson.

MacGyver was a federal agent who used his wits and his knowledge of science to create several improvised gizmos to help him solve the case.

And new star Justin Hires says that won’t change, despite the update into the digital age.
