Deadly crash claims two lives, including LaFayette High School student
WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — Two people were killed and another seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on GA-1 near Center Point Road Tuesday afternoon.
Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers were dispatched to the scene at 4:02 p.m. on April 15, 2025, following reports of a serious collision involving three vehicles.
A gray Toyota Tacoma was headed south in the left lane when it abruptly crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a gray Jeep Renegade traveling north in the left lane.
The impact caused the Tacoma to overturn.
A black Nissan Rogue, also traveling north, attempted to swerve but struck the rear driver’s side of the overturned Tacoma.
According to GSP, both the driver of the Tacoma and the driver of the Renegade were pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the victims from the incident is believed to be Brennon Beavers, who played football at LaFayette High School.

A passenger in the Renegade sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital by Life Force.
The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation, which is ongoing.
