CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  More new flights are hitting terminals at the Chattanooga Airport.

Delta Air Lines have announced the addition of flights from CHA to Detroit and Atlanta.

With these new flight additions, Delta’s weekly departures to Atlanta will increase from 46 to 59.

By also adding another Detroit flight, Delta’s weekly departure will increase from six to 13.

“Delta is proud to expand its partnership with Chattanooga Airport by reinstating nonstop service to New York City’s LaGuardia airport and adding more daily trips to existing Detroit and Atlanta service.  With this investment, Delta will be the largest carrier by seat volume in the Chattanooga market, demonstrating our commitment to support the region’s continued growth,” stated Delta’s Managing Director – Network Planning, David Hart.

“We continue to be so appreciative of Delta’s commitment to our region and our long-term relationship with them.  Now it is imperative that we support all our airlines by flying out of Chattanooga. The success of all the airlines means more flights and more destinations for our community,” said CEO and president of Chattanooga Airport, April Cameron.
