Democrat Anna Golladay announces run for 3rd District

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Over the weekend, Democrat Anna Golladay announced her campaign for Tennessee’s 3rd Congressional District.

This evening, she attended a local event in Chattanooga where she met with voters and shared her message and goals for running. Golladay is seeking her party’s nomination to challenge Representative Chuck Fleischmann in the general election.

Golladay emphasized that she believes the seat should reflect the will of the people.

“This seat does not belong to Chuck Fleischmann. It belongs to the people. It is up to the people who represents them. I want the people of Tennessee to know there are alternatives out there, and that simply maintaining the status quo is going to get them a status quo,” Golladay explained.

The primary election will determine which candidate advances to the general election.
