Department and agencies come together to fight 45-acre wildland fire

POLK COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – On Saturday, the Copper Basin Fire and Rescue says that that began as a small brush fire grew into a 45-acre wildland fire.

According to Copper Basin Fire and Rescue, the fire was pushed hard by heavy winds, turning into a dangerous situation.

They say neighbors’ homes and animals were protected throughout the wildland fire.

During the wildland, many department and agencies came together, whether that be on scene or providing coverage.
