Detectives investigating remains found in woods in Hixson

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A hunter found skeletal remains in a field off of Boy Scout Road on Friday.

He called the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department around noon.

Detectives determined that the skeletal remains appear to be human.

The Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office is now processing the scene.
