Developments in woman with a shotgun story

She fired the gun at burglars in her home

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is sharing new information on case in which a woman fired a shotgun at intruders into her home.

The burglary case happened two weeks ago in the northeast part of the county.

The woman, who was alone with her child, said several males had entered her home and were making their way toward her bedroom.

She fired her shotgun at them, apparently hitting one suspect.

Deputies checked out a juvenile who showed up at a hospital in Hamilton County 25 minutes later.

They arrested the adult with the juvenile.

Last week, Jaylen Terrell Johnson had his preliminary hearing and his case was bound over to the grand jury on charges of Aggravated Burglary and Assault.

The judge also significantly raised his bond.

The Sheriff says the 16 year old who was shot has now also been arrested and faces the same charges.

He is at the Bradley County Juvenile Detention Center.
