Dog Dies in Hixson Townhouse Fire

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga firefighters with four fire companies responded to a fire at a townhome on Greenbrook Lane in Hixson this afternoon.

According to Battalion Chief Chris Warren the fire was mainly on the back exterior of the townhome. The firefighters were able to save most of the townhome.

The Battalion Chief also said that no one was home at the time of the fire, but two dogs were inside. One dog died, but the Battalion Chief said that initial indications are that the firefighters were able to revive the other dog.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no estimate of the dollar loss was available.
