Domestic Assault Suspect Barricades Himself in Cleveland Home with Child

Cleveland, TN (WDEF) – An attempt to pick up a domestic assault suspect turned into a barricaded situation Tuesday night in Cleveland.

Officers arrived at the home on East Street NE around 6:30 to serve a warrant.

The assault victim allowed them in the home.

But 38-year old Senneca Harris had barricaded himself in the front bedroom.

And he took a child with him.

Officers say they tried to negotiate with him, but it didn’t work.

When they heard the child cry, they burst into the room and took Harris into custody without further incident.

he has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping.
