Downed trees and power update after Dalton storm
9:15 Update: Dalton Utilities reports they still have about 500 customers without power.
Crews continue to clear lines in the Emery street/Historic District area between Walnut & Crawford.
2 of 3 power polls brought down by the storm have been replaced.
Dalton Utilities has restored power to about 1,000 customers since last night.

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) Some areas of Dalton remain without power Tuesday morning following a destructive storm that swept through the city Monday evening around 5 PM.
It knocked down trees and even caused a gas leak that forced evacuations in Monte Vista Drive area.
The leak was repaired around 9 PM.
As of 6:00 AM, Dalton Utilities reports that power has been restored to Thornton Avenue and Druid Lane.
They are still working on Valley Drive, Emery Street and School Street.
