Does the E-R treat burning cars?

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Bet Hamilton County Deputy didn’t expect to find this today at his second job doing Erlanger security.

William Valenzuela saw a car on fire pull up to the Emergency Room.

It was driven by an elderly woman.

Deputy Valenzuela helped her out of the car (that was the emergency, apparently) and then tried to put the fire out with an extinguisher.

He didn’t entirely succeed in that.

But he did use his vehicle to block off other cars from running up on the fire.

And Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to other vehicles or the hospital.

No one was hurt.
