East Hamilton Knocks Off Unbeaten Walker Valley 63-58 in Overtime
Chattanooga, TN-(WDEF-TV) East Hamilton handed Walker Valley their first loss of the year, beating the Mustangs 63-58 in overtime in a district match-up. The Mustangs were up 31-27 at halftime, and they extended that lead to six to start the fourth quarter. The Hurricanes stayed close. East Hamilton’s Sam Randolph hit a tough bank shot to tie the game at 53 with 45 seconds to go. Then with the score tied at 55 with just under five seconds to play, Walker Valley inbounded the ball with a chance to win, but Jordan Munde had his running lay-up blocked as time expired. Walker Valley got a three from Blake Campbell to start the OT, but East Hamilton rallied. Darwin Randolph had a steal and lay-up to put the Hurricanes on top, and they hit enough foul shots to get the 63-58 victory.
