East Ridge arrests man after standoff who refused to check out of hotel

EAST RIDGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – The East Ridge SWAT team got called to a Hotel for an armed man barricaded inside.

Police say 64 year old Jim Sanford Hunter refused to leave his hotel room after checkout.

Officers found out he has felony warrants for terroristic threats from Gordon County, Georgia.

After three hours of negotiations, Hunter left the room, and was taken into custody to be extradited back to Gordon County.

Officers found several rifles, shotguns, and handguns in the hotel room.
